Info zu Maybe This Place Is The Same And We're Just Changing (Optimized for Digital)

"Maybe This Place Is the Same and We're Just Changing" is the debut studio album by American rock band Real Friends. The album was recorded in February 2014 with Seth Henderson at Always Be Genius Recording Studio. It was released through Fearless on July 22. The album charted at number 24 in the U.S. It also charted in the top 20 on several Billboard charts.

Few bands truly embody the spirit of the Van's Warped Tour quite the way Real Friends do. With a strong DIY ethic and songs that beg to be sung at the top of your lungs amid a sea of crowd surfers, by a rapidly and organically growing following of devotees, it's no surprise the Chicagoland quintet have been tipped to be the breakout act of the summer of 2014.

And with their highly-anticipated debut album Maybe This Place is The Same And We're Just Changing in tow, the band is poised to give the pop-punk scene an unexpected but much-needed breath of fresh air. Fronted by charismatic vocalist Dan Lambton and pushed lyrically by bassist Kyle Fasel, Real Friends have become loved for their heart-on-sleeve and hook-in-mouth pop-punk as timeless and as passionate as their influences.

"Following their 2013 mini-album Put Yourself Back Together, Chicago emo/pop punk outfit Real Friends released a proper debut full-length in 2014 with the verbosely titled Maybe This Place Is the Same and We're Just Changing. The band worked with producer/mixer Sean O'Keefe to craft a richer, more thoughtful vision of their energetic and youthful pop punk. This upped production can be heard in the lush acoustic textures of "Sixteen" as well as on faster, more dynamic tracks like "Loose Ends." (Fred Thomas, AMG)
