Info for Girl Of My Dreams
The fonè Jazz Makers is a traditional jazz band of New Orleans type.
Girl of my dreams is an album for jazz lovers that starts with Darktown Strutters' Ball by S.Brooks, an happy song from early 20th Century, catchy and easily remembered..... It sounds just like the ideal album opener.
Girl of my dreams, the track that gives the name to this album was a popular waltz song of the Twenties and in more recent years had an important role in the "Angel Heart" movie; New Orleans musicians, trombone player Louis Nelson first of all, rightly trasformed it into a fox-trot.
The recording was realized by Giulio Cesare Ricci at the Teatro Comunale dei Concordi in Campiglia Marittima (LI) using the original tube microphones Neumann U47 and M49 and all its equipment: advanced mike pre-amplifiers Nagra, Analog Tape Recorders Nagra 4s, line, microphone and supply cables Signoricci.
The original master were transferred from Nagra 4s directly to DSD. With this recording, Giulio Cesare Ricci wanted the listener live a unique experience: it is as if he were sitting on an armchair positioned in the ideal position of the Theater.
In this position, the depth, width and height of the sound are very appreciated.
An album not to be missed!
