Unterwegs in ähnlichen Sphären wie The Whitest Boy Alive ist die aus dem australischen Melbourne stammende Band auf ihrem dritten Album. Teilweise mag das an der an Erlend Oye erinnernden Stimme und der sophisticated ausdrucksvollen Art des Gesangs liegen. Allerdings offenbaren sie auch starke Affinitäten zu psychedelischen Klänge der 70er-Jahre, was v.a. am spacigen und auch barocken Einsatz der analogen Keyboardsounds liegt, die mit Funk-Bass und changierender Gitarre super kommunizieren. Gepaart mit Elementen des Fusion-Jazz, Italo-Disco-Parts, etwas Funk und Yacht-Rock ergibt sich ein gleichzeitig die Seele streichelndes, aber auch exploratives, ausladendes, detailreich groovendes Album.

Their debut album, Phase (2018), earned them a nomination for Best Album at the Worldwide FM Awards and won Best Electronic Act at The Music Victoria Awards. With Automatic (2020), the band has made a step-change from their debut. It's more disciplined, directional, and arguably more danceable.
